How to Install Fix Quick Asphalt

For a seamless and durable repair, follow these guidelines when installing Fix Quick Asphalt. Start by applying the product in 50mm thick layers for optimal results. When repairing roads, ensure the compacted layer is slightly above the surrounding surface to accommodate any settling. To allow immediate traffic flow, particularly for areas with turning vehicles, lightly dust the surface with sand after application.

Step 1

Clear the Area: To prepare the surface for applying Fix Quick Asphalt, start by thoroughly sweeping the area with a broom to remove any loose debris, such as dirt, stones, or old asphalt fragments. Pay close attention to clearing away excess water, as moisture can hinder proper adhesion. Ensure that the edges of the repair site are clean and solid, which is crucial for creating a strong bond between the existing surface and the new asphalt.

Step 2

Apply & Compact: Begin by spreading a 25-50mm layer of Fix Quick Asphalt evenly over the area, ensuring full coverage and consistent thickness. Once applied, use a hand tamper or plate compactor to compress the material firmly. This compaction process is crucial for achieving a smooth, durable surface that can withstand traffic and weather conditions, ensuring the longevity and integrity of the repair.

Step 3

Build Up Layers: Gradually add layers of Fix Quick Asphalt, spreading each one evenly and compacting thoroughly before applying the next. Continue this process until the repair reaches the desired height, ensuring each layer is well-compacted to create a strong, cohesive bond.

Ready for Use: Once the final layer of Fix Quick Asphalt has been applied and thoroughly compacted, the repaired surface is immediately ready for use.
