Leaders in the field of
Asphalt Production

We have it covered

State Asphalts NSW is one of the largest independent Asphalt Production businesses in Australia, with production facilities in Prestons, St Marys & South Nowra. Our production facilities have the ability to utilise high recycled content, with multiple feed points for different sustainable materials including RAP (Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement), Glass, Rubber (Tyres) and Fibres (from Coffee Cups). State Asphalts NSW have been awarded grants from federal government, for excellence in continued research into recycling waste materials back into high performance asphalt designs, giving birth to PAK-PAVE, our sustainable product range that utilises waste materials in asphalt production, diverting waste from landfill and largely reducing the use of virgin raw materials.

      Plant locations

State Asphalts NSW have three Asphalt Production Facilities across NSW, situated in Prestons, St Marys & South Nowra.

Our fixed plants have enhanced capability with multiple feeding points for recyclable materials, and as we continue to evolve in turning waste into recyclable materials, our facilities are job ready to incorporate these materials back into bona fide, compliant mix designs.

At The Kypreos Group, we take pride in leading the industry in asphalt production, providing high-quality materials tailored to meet the needs of diverse infrastructure projects. With state-of-the-art facilities across Prestons, St Marys, and South Nowra, our asphalt production plants are equipped to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions that align with industry standards and environmental goals.

      The Asphalt Production Process

Our asphalt production process combines advanced technology, stringent quality control, and sustainable practices to create reliable materials for road construction. Each facility is equipped with multiple feed points to incorporate sustainable road materials like Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP), crushed glass, crumb rubber, and even fibres from recycled coffee cups. This ensures high performance while reducing waste and reliance on virgin resources.

      Our process includes:

      1. Custom Mix Design: Tailored solutions for specific project requirements, such as high-load capacity or climate resilience.
      2. State-of-the-Art Equipment: Ensuring precise material composition and consistency in every batch.
      3. Sustainability Focus: Implementing measures to minimise asphalt production emissions and maximise the use of recycled materials.

      Applications of High-Quality Asphalt

The materials produced at our asphalt production plants are essential for a wide range of infrastructure projects, including:

Highways and Freeways: Durable asphalt designed to handle heavy traffic and extreme conditions.

Urban Road Networks: Smooth, long-lasting surfaces for city streets and arterial roads.

Commercial Developments: Parking lots and industrial estates with high-load requirements.

Government Projects: Compliant materials for local council and state road construction initiatives.

We work closely with asphalt contractors and civil engineering teams to deliver asphalt solutions that meet specific project goals and local regulations.

      Commitment to Sustainability

Sustainability is central to our operations, as we integrate recycled materials into our asphalt production process to minimise environmental impact. Through initiatives such as recycling materials like recycled coffee cups and crumb rubber to reduce landfill waste, optimising plant operations to lower carbon emissions, and employing advanced heating and mixing technologies to conserve energy, we are committed to creating a greener future. These practices not only benefit the environment but also meet the growing demand for sustainable infrastructure within the construction industry.

      Quality Assurance and Industry Standards

Our asphalt material testing laboratory guarantees that every mix meets strict performance and safety standards. As a NATA-accredited facility, we conduct comprehensive testing to guarantee quality and compliance with Australian and international regulations.

      This includes:

      • Binder and aggregate composition analysis
      • Durability and load-bearing capacity tests
      • Low-emission asphalt mix development

Our commitment to quality ensures that the asphalt we produce stands the test of time, providing a safe and durable foundation for critical infrastructure.
